Raising Money for School

My girls did a fabulous job decorating this cake for the fundraising carnival at their school.  It was a chocolate cake filled with alternating layers of cookies and cream filling and chocolate swiss meringue buttercream.  They were very proud of their decorating job and their cake was the first to sell at the school carnival. 

Strawberry Girl

My daughter loves strawberries.  I made this strawberry cheesecake just for her.  A graham cracker crust, lots of whipped cream and fresh strawberry sauce makes this cake one of our favorites.

Happy 4th of July!

 

 

Celebrate the 4th with fantastic Red Velvet Cake with a vanilla custard frosting!  We felt extremely patriotic while we ate this cake.

The Cell

My son, Will, had to make a 3D model of a cell.  We decided to make a cake.  He got an A, his teacher and class were very impressed, and it was delicious.  Definitely a win for everyone.

Bloomin' Birthdays

Lorien loves helping to decorate cakes and so this year for her birthday we decided to host a cake decorating party.  We made lovely flower invitations and I decorated the front of a cake to match. We taught Lorien's cute little friends about gum paste, fondant and flower making and then I set them loose to decorate the rest of the cake.

Each girl had her own work station and supplies.  They also decorated a cupcake to take home with them. 

We had so much fun decorating this cake together! 

I'm workin'!

Ethan loves tools, trucks, tractors and his sand box more than anything.  When he is busy and doesn't want to be bothered he says "Mom!  I'm workin'!"  My little worker man loved this cake and wanted to pull the tractors off to play with them. Happy 3rd birthday Ethan!
